The Biggest Loser 2 Hour Premiere - My Take On It All…

Please note: This entry was written as I was watching the show, and is a spoiler if you haven’t seen it yet. Even if you know the outcome, please continue reading through the whole post…

First, let me get this part out of the way:

I am absolutely TORN between the guy from NY (duh, I’m a New Yorker) and…

(can you guess?)

(c’mon, give it a shot)

(fine, I’ll tell you)

The plus size model (Jen from Minnesota)!! DOUBLE DUH!!

Alright, we even look similar.

Jennifer from Minnesota Plus size model Lara Kulpa

(I’m the one on the right…)
It’s going to be insanely difficult for me to choose - he’s on the blue team, she’s on the red team (Minnesota).

The first challenge: The walls

Running down a bridge, having to climb three foam walls. Each wall got progressively higher (by almost double it seemed).

I can’t believe how slow the blue team was after the first wall, and how that totally turned around for the second wall. The red team was just dragging. But they wound up winning the challenge. They get to choose one of the blue team’s members to switch out with their own at the weigh in. Essentially if done right, they can trade the biggest loss on the blue team for the smallest loss on their own.
Bob talked about how his team is full of emotional eaters. I love Bob. I wish Jen was on Bob’s team.

He took them all to the gym to work out BEFORE dinner.

Kim’s reaction to the red team? She jumped up and down, hugged the guy with the afro (I’ll remember their names soon enough, don’t worry - added: it’s Ken, and he cried after his weigh in - I love him.) and said they deserved it and rewarded them with a rest. The blue team was working out while the red team was going to eat dinner and go to bed early… hmmm…

Sorry, if it were me? I’d grab a light dinner and head off to the gym anyway.

Of course, I also have a soft spot in my heart for the fireman… he said it right, “How can I try to save someone’s life when I can’t save my own? I just imagine going into a burning building to save a child, and collapsing, where they’ll have to send in two more guys to get me out of there, instead of doing what they should be doing.”

Let me make my statement about Kim - who replaced Jillian as the red team trainer.

I think she’s trying too hard to be like Jillian. Period.

Okay, the first official weigh in.

Red team picked Amy from the blue team to swap with Jen! Did my girl not do so well?

Amy looked great - She went from 260 to 244! Total loss of 16 lbs.
Jen looked… scared. She went from 245 to 237! Total loss of 8 lbs.

I guess they made a good swap!

Overall weight loss for the blue team: 108 lbs./ 5.05% and the red team: 98 lbs./ 4.75%
Blue Team Won The Weigh In
(Erik, the guy from NY lost 16 lbs!)

Biggest loser for the week was Brian with a 23 lb loss that brought the blue team home. Apparently the red team did not make a good swap, and some of the team members agree they did it carelessly. They should’ve swapped out for Brian.

I’m pissed because Jen’s the smallest loser. As a team, they lost 98 pounds, and it’s huge for them. I’m not pissed that Jen didn’t lose more - but I don’t like the fact that she’s at the bottom of the list now!!! They scolded her. They said she didn’t step it up. Heather freaked out, like she was yelling at a child. She took too many “breaks”. Grr. C’mon, girl!! All us plus size models out here need you!!!

Yes, I know that this happened months ago. But still

I don’t like Heather’s attitude at all. She’s so not a team player. All she did was belittle Jen, and that just flat out sucks.

The Elimination:

I’m pissed.

Jen’s gone.

It was damn near unanimous. We didn’t get to see the last two votes, but I’m willing to bet their hers.

After the show, they showed that she’s now lost 66 lbs.

HEY JEN! ARE YOU READING THIS!?!?

I am demanding that you continue this. I am demanding that you come back and win of the eliminated group. DO YOU HEAR ME!?

  1. LMAO–HOW ADORABLE ARE YOU???!!!
    Thanks for the support;)
and a little FYI: I drank EXCESSIVE H20 to ensure I didn’t give the other team my complete weight loss number & was the only one on my team not to pick Amy for the swap…little hint: that’s why Caroline said, “I’m sorry Red Team, if you had selected Brian you would have won the weigh-in” and guess who picked him???
    ;)))
    Hope you tune in 12/13!
    (((hugs)))
    Jen;)

  2. I’m so honored!!!

You bet your sweet bippy I’m tuning in on the 13th! I tune in every week, of course, but dammit Jen, I’m SO hoping you come back and blow them all away!!

I meant what I said, there are plus size models all over the country pulling for you. You are beautiful (if I do say so my-similar-looking-self), and while the bottom line is that I really want you to be healthy and FEEL good, I would love nothing more than to see you come back and thumb your nose at those bitches. ;)

    (((huge hugs, love, and support!!!)))

  3. […] Okay, so I’m just absolutely flabbergasted! Remember back on my recap of The Biggest Loser 3 Premiere, I talked about how the plus size model Jennifer and I looked so much alike, and that I was pulling for her? Remember how pissed off I was when she was eliminated that first show? Remember how I told her that she’d better come back and kick butt? […]
