Kimkins diet scam - Lawsuits and fraud investigations abound!
Okay, so I’m sitting here going through work stuff and on Mike and Juliet this morning is a story about a supposed diet site called Kimkins.com.
After poking around the web a while, I’m just absolutely floored at the facts surrounding this crap. And even more so, that women are falling for this, and putting their health in permanent danger. We’re not talking teenagers and ana/mia but rather REAL ADULT WOMEN and a site that’s killing them slowly.
From DietsInReview.com:
There is a laundry list of reasons why you should not follow the Kimkins diet. Currently the creator, Heidi Diaz, who operates under the alias Kimmer, is the possible subject of a potential class-action lawsuit and under investigation for fraud. Many of the Kimkins customers are becoming dangerously sick from following the Kimkins program. While Kimmer markets the diet as being a quick solution that will last for life, and losing 200 pounds in one year herself, she currently is morbidly obese- not at all what her ads claim.
- No research or healthcare endoresements
- Plan contradicts sound medical research
- Dangerously low caloric intake
- No exercise
- Suggested to take laxatives regularly
- Creator under investigation for fraud
- Creator does not have any nutrition or medical experienceAdditionally, many followers of Kimkins have reported frightening side effects, including:
- Constant nausea
- Hair loss
- Fainting
- Heart palpitations
- Fatigue
- Bone and/or joint pain
- Constipation
This woman, Heidi Diaz, used a photo from a mail-order bride site to try to show her “amazing, lightning-quick, weight loss success”, when really, she’s a MORBIDLY OBESE woman, who likely never shed a pound.
Slamboard just released some of the surveillance video of Kimmer (Heidi Diaz) captured by the Private Investigator, Robert Charlton, hired to confirm suspicions about her identity.
If that wasn’t enough for ya, check this one out:
And here’s a play-by-play discussion over the show’s piece about the scam… they said “Atkins meets Anorexia” - how true!

Hello, This is Mary
I am 36 years old with 2 toddlers. My youngest just started day care last week- which still feels a little strange. I haven’t had this much time to myself in years. First thing I want to do is lose the extra pounds I put on during the last pregnancy. One of the girls next door has suggested I join her walking group two days a week. After my first pregnancy I lost around 35 pounds using the Herbalife products, but when I called the man that sold them to me three years ago he told me this week he doesn’t sell them anymore. He told me to look on the internet. It’s disappointing because he was really nice and he called me regularly to make sure I was using their products correctly. It was nice to have someone checking in with me every week to see how I was and it kept me motivated.
I searched on the internet for someone that sells Herbalife in New Jersey. I found many websites but I don’t want
just to buy the products, I want to find someone trustworthy that sells the products so I can also meet them and get started again.
Could anybody here recommend someone in New Brunswick?
.
Thanks, Mary
