It Looks Like London Out There…

Today’s the perfect day to stay inside and get some Spring cleaning done. To do some major amounts of laundry, and to once and for all get this office shaped up. It’s very foggy out this morning, and the air is thick and moist and heavy. It’s quite pretty, actually… everything looks so soft, even the harsh and rusted edges of the barn and the old chicken coop out back. The trees haven’t budded yet (that we can see) so they look like these ominous black figures in the mist, just waiting for some sunshine.

I’m going to be training my father on some stuff today too - basic stuff, but so he can help me out and make some money for himself. He leaves for work at 230, so that gives me lots of time later on to get my cleaning and such done.

I told ya - I’m attacking the mess! :)

I think I had the pics of my office posted on the other site, so I’ll share with you here… now, keep in mind these were taken last year, however with the exception of a few things, it pretty much ALWAYS looks like this by the end of the week if I’ve spent a weekend cleaning and organizing. It’s pretty scary how the office can go from one extreme of clean and organized to this… but it happens in DAYS sometimes. Anyway, here it is:

So there it is - my weekend project. I’ll be back Sunday night with updated images… :)

Weighed in at 257 this morning - seems to be my “hovering point” lately. Been trying to do salads for lunch and sometimes for dinner even, with chicken or something. Had some lobster stuffed sole earlier in the week for dinner one night with a salad, and another night we had seafood stuffed portobellos, sliced yukon gold baked potatoes, and more salad. :) At least I’m trying to get some veggies in… it’s not easy! I need to do some grocery shopping today too - to get stuff for making breakfast tomorrow. We’re not big on doing anything special for Easter, since there’s no kids here or anything, but my gram is, and she really wanted to do something, so I’m going to make breakfast. It’s really just for her, because she’s very religious, and the day means a lot to her. But Dad and I really don’t have the attachment to it that she does. That’s okay - if it makes an 80 year old woman happy, I can do it. :)

Hope everyone who is celebrating has a great weekend, and if you’re not celebrating, have a great weekend anyway!

  1. […] Not totally complaining, except for the fact that my office looks worse than it did in the pictures I posted before. I dragged my finger across the top of my desk where the monitor sits, and could knit a scarf with the dust ball. […]

  2. I *love* the Limited Too and Neopets stuff in pic #5! :)

  3. yeah yeah yeah… i actually have gotten all that stuff into garbage bags and into storage bins… with the exception of about a dozen items sitting up on my bookshelf… ;)
