The Biggest Loser 4 - Episode 3

We open with a challenge this week - Whoever eats the most calories gets to knock off 3 lbs. at the next weigh in.

No one gets to see what whoever goes into the room does… whether they choose to eat or not. But they have to spend four minutes in the room.

What torment!

Some of them could eat just one chicken wing if they really wanted… it’d be on camera, for all of America to see, but no one on the team would know.

First in is Bryan from the Red team - he’s lookin’ like he’s wanting to cheat, but does keep stopping himself, as we go to commercial break.

[break]

He’s checking everything out… then says, “I’m good.” and declined everything.

Kae loved the way the room smelled, and did this pantomiming thing where she pretended to put the food in her mouth.

OMG - some people ate but jogged in place while they did it. Others just stood there looking at the food, exercising. How hilarious!

Julie’s been craving pizza… She bent over to smell it, but never took a bite! Then she saw cupcakes… and took a tiny piece of frosting and put it on the side of her mouth, to make it look like she’d eaten it, but she didn’t. HA!

Neil cracked… he choked down as much as he could. He considered it strategy… wow! He’s convinced he consumed at least 1700 calories.

Because he came back and denied eating, Patty decided to “take one for the team” and started with an eggroll… two bites and it was gone. Apple pie… she’s dancing while she’s doing it, laughing, cereal bars, breakfast bars, and she belches at the end. UNREAL!

[break]

1,930 calories eaten - Patty. OMG
Neil is freaking out… lol
Jerry is upset, saying that it was an unspoken rule that no one was supposed to eat a thing except Neil.
I bet she’s gonna hear it!

The red team kind of kicked butt - none of them really ate much of anything… some had a nibble here and there, but nothing major.

Neil and Bob are chewing Patty out… Kae is actually wondering why anyone was obsessed with the 3 lb. pass to begin with. She said that she had the confidence that they could’ve all done it without the damn pass.

Patty breaks down - says that she has a problem, that’s what brought her to the ranch. Neil reminds her that they are a team, and Bob says that after this, it’s NOT to be brought up again.

Bob is pushing Patty and Neil in the gym because they both ate. They both worked extra hard, to make sure that every extra calorie they consumed came off and then some. Bob was throwing egg rolls in Patty’s face. LOL

Black team - Jillian’s still busting ass. And Hollie Self still looks EXACTLY LIKE ME! LOL

Kim’s got the Red team working out outside…

Bob tells Kae to get on Patty’s back and make them sprint across the gym…

BOTH of these things are Jillian style! HA!

Jerry fell off Ryan’s back and hurt his leg. :(

Challenge Time!

Racing on the 100m track.

But they’re not just racing each other, they’re going up against another team…

The Yellow Team? HUH!?

[break] - Bob’s tip: Try doing your dumbbell weights standing on an unstable surface (Bosu Balance Trainer) or even just on one leg. “You’ll use muscles you didn’t even know you had…” :)

“Fierce competitors…” says Alison

Ha! It’s a bunch of kids… Three of them. Cooper, Jack, and Keala.

Three heats - Kindergarten, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade.

The team with the most winners wins the challenge - winning team gets to call home. :) I love when they do this.

Okay - I know I won’t be able to keep up with this… so I’ll post the results when it’s over… LOL

1st heat - against the fourth grader. Fourth grader wins.
2nd heat - third grade heat. Much closer race, but Phil, captain of the red team, whooped the kid’s a… er… hiney!
3rd heat - kindergarten heat. C’mon Hollie!!! You can do it girl!

[break - of course]

Cooper’s way ahead, and blue team’s ahead of the bunch. But Cooper wins, and the Red team gets the call home. Hollie my love… last place… :(

Red team has won all three challenges so far - but no weigh ins.

Amazing… smallest team still keeps getting the challenges!

Too cute - they do the phone calls, and the team members cry… and it gets me every time!

[break]

Bob’s got the Blue team outside and is making them do the mountain climb he has them do every year… it really means something when they each get to the top, take in the view, and see where they came from.

Ryan’s got a fear of heights and the climbing up and down… but he overcame that fear, and did it. That’s freakin’ AWESOME!

Bob’s super proud of his team, and is confident that they’re the strongest team of the three. They all make it to the top, and really relish what they’ve accomplished. I love it!

Black team - Jillian gives Isabeau three minutes to get the twins downstairs to work out. She finds Bill, and can’t find Jim. Bill starts yelling about how he can’t run because he’s got a bad knee… FLIPPED out at Isabeau, she’s crying, and he should’ve taken it out on Jillian, not Isabeau.

They worked it out - he apologized - but it was bad…

Last chance workouts:

Black, running hard and fast. Holding poses and weights.
Red, playing tug of war with Kim. Running, with her dragging behind them.
Blue, “sweat, sweat, and more sweat”. Bob’s such a great supportive coach though…

[break]

It’s time to do the weigh-in… but first, Kim, Bob, and Jillian are all giving their teams “pep talks” - especially the Red team - can you imagine if they were to lose another one this week? OYE! Half the team will be gone!

Black Team

Jim [334] 325 -9
Hollie [242] 239 -3 :(
Jez [320] 316 -4
Julie [213] 210 -3 “I may be the last little turtle to cross the line, but I’m gonna look GOOD in my shell!”
Bill [301] 298 -3
Isabeau [285] 280 -5

Totals: -27 / 1.59%

Blue Team

Kae [200] 197 -3
Ryan [349] 347 -2
Jerry [256] 254 -2 (wow!)
Nicole [265] 262 -3
Neil [389] 386 -3
Patty [265] 260 -5 (-8 counting the pass)

Totals: -21 / 1.22%

Black team has beat out the Blue team, two weeks in a row! They’re safe this week.

Red Team

David [344] 338 -6
Phil [372] 363 -9
Bryan [325] 321 -4
Amy [285] 279 -6 (still hate her.)

Totals: -25 / 1.89%

Blue Team goes to elimination this week… wow. For once, I seriously can’t predict who they might get rid of.

Unreal though - Patty is the team’s biggest loser this week, so she can’t be eliminated. Even without the 3lb. pass, she’d have been the team’s biggest loser, but still…

[break]

The unofficial ballot the team did, they want to get rid of Jerry. Unreal - they DO sound ungrateful. Jerry picked them, and he’s the biggest loser on the team, and they want him out.

He believes in loyalty and respect… and thinks that if that’s they’re final decision, they’re doomed. Jerry thinks Kae should be the one to go, because she has the least amount of weight to lose. Kae doesn’t WANT to leave - of course - and personally, I think she’s been the hardest worker too, that she could do it alone. None of them are ready to go though… but I think Jerry would come back and kick tail if he did go tonight… LOL

Here’s the vote lineup:

Jerry - Neil (he’s the weakest link on the team, despite trying very hard)
Patty - Jerry (with a heavy heart and tears…)
Nicole - Jerry (also crying - though they don’t look quite genuine to me)
Kae - says she made a mistake writing this person down because she got scared, and through tears, says she’s sorry, but chose Nicole
Neil - Jerry.

DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!

Grr.
Double effin’ grr.

Then, we see Mr. Jerry. Approx. four months after he left the show, Jerry’s looking AMAZING! He’s lost 88 pounds so far. He’s so CUTE! He looks fantastic at 209 lbs. but I’m quite convinced he’s not done yet, and he’s going to come to the finale and really take the cake!

  2. I fell asleep toward the end (watching it at 11) but saw jerry and he looks hot! I do think he’ll be a definite contendor for the come back and win the prize goal. I’m really impressed with his efforts. I was also very surprised that he was voted off. weird.

also, your comments seem to be weired out. When I go to click on what I ‘think’ is a link on your last comment to the last post it either freezes up or goes back to your post. I’m confused.

  3. I can’t believe that the blue team voted off Jerry. I honestly don’t understand what they were thinking, strategy-wise, so I guess they must not have made the choice based on strategy.

    Wasn’t little Cooper such a cutie? Awwww….

The phone calls to home made me cry. :( I was kind of annoyed with Phil’s wife though….he honestly seemed more upset when he got off the phone!!

I guess that’s all the random thoughts I have for now. :)

  4. […] came across a superb writeup over at The Biggest Loser4 - Episode 3. It began: We open with a challenge this week - Whoever eats the most calories gets to knock off 3 […]

  5. Kim - I’m confused as well, not sure where exactly you’re clicking that’s doing that… strange!

Yes, I too think Jerry’s going to come back and just shock everyone - I can’t wait!

Rachel - you know I was thinking that too - although Phil could be like another Matt, very sensitive and emotional. But you never know - they do cut things down so much for time… despite it STILL BEING TWO HOURS LONG! LOL

  6. Hey….remember that the bigest loser is the person with the highest percentage of weight loss! Overall, Hollie has one of the highest percentages of the ladies(besides Kae)! And, you know what? You guys do look alike!

  7. :) Don’t get me wrong - I’m totally rooting for Hollie!! :) It’s about time that they have a girl on there who looks like me that WINS! LOL

That’s so funny that someone who knows Hollie even thinks we look alike. LOL Send her over here! LOL

The girl from last season, Jennifer, came over to my site and left me some love here too. But come to think of it, it was likely after she was sent home. Which makes sense to me after knowing what’s in that huge-o contract they made us sign! :)

In any event, I hope Hollie makes it to the end - I love how she keeps fighting. She shows that it’s not as easy as some of America might think it is - the contestants fight HARD to be there and get the most out of it - well most of them do - Hollie’s one of them, and as her friend, you should be hella proud! :) (not that you aren’t!)

  8. And thanks for coming over here!!! :)
