The Biggest Loser 4 - Episode 2

We open with a recap of last week’s episode. Did you all check on The Biggest Loser site to check in with the Black Team?

They bring the Black team on for their first official weigh in. I’m so excited! I hope they kick major ass!!

Isabeau - (298) 290 [-8]
Julie (who has PCOS) - (218) 216 [-2]
Hollie - (255) 244 [-11] YAHOO! My twin rocks!
Jez - (345) 329 [-16] A.Maze.Ing!
Jim - (361) 350 [-11]
Bill (Jim’s twin!) - (334) 313 [-21] RIGHT ON!

These folks rock!

Jillian sends them off to work out with,

“Who wants a beating!??!?!”

Red team: They’re upset about the elimination, natch. Kim encourages them to keep up spirits and keep working hard. Diabetes is frightening… and a reality.

Bob wants the team to win the first two weigh-ins in a row. He’s trying to use that to motivate them. “Everybody jog for one minute,” he says.

He’s concerned about people hurting… being in pain. He wants them to relax (Neil specifically) because he doesn’t want him to overwork himself. Neil doesn’t give up, and he made it.

“I need to be here so I can live, so I can be at my sons’ college graduations and my daughters’ weddings,” one said.

Jillian’s got the black team jogging with logs on their shoulders… oh my! Now they’re doing situps with them… goes to show you that if you really want to work out, you’ll find anything!

The team wants to come back and prove that they were worthy.

“When we get back in the house, the air conditioned gym is going to be a joke to these people,” Jillian says.

[commercial break]

Kim’s pissed

- they’re eating string cheese and jell-o. She spent so much time teaching them what to eat, and they’re eating nothing.

Time to break out the Jennie-O turkey! Kim makes Turkey Tacos - recipe on NBC.com, kiddies!

Pre-challenge workout time. Kim’s pushing, and tells one of the contestants, “Go ahead, quit. Join Amber.” Whew… she’s getting snotty this year!

Jillian’s got them doing these weird fall/push exercises on the beach. Julie’s gettin’ attitude, huh? Little Miss Sweetness! :) I love it!

Uh oh, Hollie’s breaking… my twin! Jillian… she brings her back! Let’s GO!!!!

Bob tells the Blue team that the challenge is going to involve stairs. He pumps them up, “Bring home a win for the Blue team!”

Challenge Time

Alison Sweeney brings them to this really tall building… it’s where their challenge is. In the stairwells.

As we go to commercial, we see Hollie carrying Jillian cross-wise on her back, running down the beach! GO HOLLIE!!!!

[break]

Alison encourages them… she’s inspired and amazed.

Ten story building with the lights on. They’re going to take care of it. HA!

Two stairwells, one for each team. When a member runs up, and turns a light off, the light switches to their team’s color. Winning team gets one member who gets immunity at the weigh in.

Neil and Ryan need to sit out from the Blue team. Red team chooses Lezlye to sit out, and she’s not happy about it.

This will be interesting to see which floors each member chooses.

Red team is one floor behind blue… They get the first level light switched on the 7th floor. (There are only 3 floors at the top with lights on.) Then red gets it.

Blue gets down the stairs and a new runner takes off. Then red. Blue gets the floor first (8th floor).

Blue is definitely in the lead, but the red team is determined to catch up. Blue gets the 9th floor first, then very close behind is red. They’re pretty well tied.

Team captains go next. Jerry (the 62 year old) is on the first floor when red gets in there.

Phil and Jerry are absolutely tied. Alison reminds us that it’s not about who turns the light on first, but who gets down first. Red did switch their light first, but blue was immediate behind them!

This is pretty tense… what do you guys think?

[break]

I’m really rooting for the Blue team of the two. I’m sorry, but if a 62 year old man can do this… ANYONE CAN.

Augh!!!! Grr.

Red made it by seconds.

*sigh*

It was a great race though… for red to start off behind, and come up like that, it was pretty impressive.

Okay, one switch grants immunity to a member of the red team - whoever flips the right one lights up the whole building with their color.

Lezlye goes first and lights a blue floor. BAD. She didn’t want it though, she didn’t participate in the challenge.
Phil goes up. Nope. Blue floor.
David chooses switch 5 - He wins! No matter what, he wins immunity, but knows that it doesn’t mean he can slack off.

Bob’s thoroughly proud of Jerry. Jerry’s upset, but Bob just wants them to focus on why they’re really there. He says that no team ever wins the first two challenges in a row, ever. He says, “If we don’t win the weigh-in, there is nothing else we could’ve done, because I worked you all harder than I’ve ever worked a team on week two before.”

Kim keeps track of the Red team using a device that tracks their activity levels. She’s telling the red team that they can, and should work harder. She’s watching them!!!

Black team has two days before they hit up the campus, and she sees them as empowered, with “blood in their mouth”. She might be tough, but she is thoroughly inspiring and encouraging. No doubt.

They’re definitely pumped. They’re ready to wipe the floor with them. And Jillian knows that the teams will NOT be friendly when they arrive back at the camp!

[break]

Neil’s having a hard time reaching his calories, because he’s working out so hard that he can’t keep food down. Bob wants him to eat, and Neil wants to drink shakes and stuff.

Bob says “let’s win this weigh in and you and I will find the thing that you will enjoy eating.”

Your body needs food to lose weight - period. Bob said it. NOW LISTEN UP, PEOPLE! He wants the viewers to learn this!

Bob tells Jerry he could get on the scale and lose nothing this week because he lost so much last week.

Everyone’s tired… wahhhhh.

Bob says no team has ever won the first two weigh ins. They missed the challenge wins, they need to bust ass on the last chance workout and do everything they can to win this weigh in. He says they’ve done every single thing he’s asked, and pushed themselves to more extremes than any other person ever has before.

I’m pretty damn proud of Bob. Patty’s bawling, and Bob turns it into her crying because of her pride. She can’t believe she’s doing it. She’s learning more about herself, and how she deserves to take care of herself because she’s a mom, a sister, a wife, a team mate. *sniff*

Red team - Kim is tired of the whining. “Suck. It. Up!” She says the guys are busting through it, but the girls are whining. They show them mocking her… it’s ridiculous. They should ALL go home. The bitches. GRR.

Why do I always wind up hating the red team?

Amy walked out on the workout. She just left. This is nuts. Crying. Whining. Wahhhhmbulance on the way!

Next up - the Black team comes back!

[break] I’m loving the trivia on the commercial breaks, aren’t you?

Bob crosses the color borders and asks Amy about what’s bothering her. She starts crying to him, and he sends the rest of his team off to work out so he could reach out to Amy. She claims that she’s homesick, misses her kids, and Bob basically (in the nice wonderful way he does) tells her, “Listen chick, don’t blow this. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and there’s a girl in upstate New York who would KILL to be you right now. She’ll murder your ass if you leave, you hear me?”

*tee hee* Okay, no, he didn’t say that exactly per se but you get the idea.

Jillian’s on the beach pushing everyone even harder. Last chance workout for the Black team HAS GOT to be murder…

They can’t wait to show red and blue that they didn’t go home and eat twinkies… ha!

Okay, here we go… Amy’s scared. She’s trying to form an alliance - two girls against three boys.

Ah! Black team’s walking in first… :D :D :D :D :D Sneaking in!

This so rocks… I’m giddy!

Not much to say… just watching. Waiting for the expressions… :)

Black team’s all looking tough. MEAN. Pissed off! I love it! Arms folded, all of them…

this means WAR

.

[break, of course!] Oh my, it’s 9pm! I didn’t realize the show would be this long all the time!!!!

I’m thinking I might just post the winning results here after we get through this “meeting of black and red and blue”…

No one’s participating in comments this time… :(

They’re all completely shocked… Kae gets all thug on them. Bob had no idea! He runs over and hugs her though… it was cute! Kim is feeling SUPER inadequate now I think… LOL

Phil calls them “The Black Sheep” and says he’s pissed. Jerry is upset, said he thought they sent them home for a reason. Tons of tense pissed off looks going on around the room!

Blue Team

Jerry - (266) 256 [-10]
Nicole - (271) 265 [-6]
Patty - (267) 265 [-2]
Ryan - (359) 349 [-10]
Kae - (205) 200 [-5]
Neil - (399) 389 [-10]

[-43] 2.43% total lost

Red Team

Bryan (331) 325 [-6]
Amy (287) 285 [-2]
Lezlye (246) 243 [-3]
David (348) 344 [-4] (immunity)
Phil (377) 372 [-5]

[-20] 1.26% total lost

Ha! Red lost the weigh in AGAIN! :D
(Well, against the Blue team anyway… still up against Black)

No one on the Blue team is going home for the 2nd week in a row. That rocks.

Black Team

Hollie (my girl!) - (244) 242 [-2] *ugh*
Isabeau - (290) 285 [-5]
Jez - (329) 320 [-9]
Julie - (216) 213 [-3]
Bill - (313) 301 [-12] RIGHT ON!!
Jim - (350) 334 [-16]

They knocked out an amazing 47 pounds! That’s amazing!

I’m so freakin’ thrilled! Black team has beaten both Red and Blue!

Bryan cannot be eliminated from red, and David is the one who won immunity, so we’re looking at Phil, Lezlye, or Amy. This one’s not going to be hard to figure out… The guys aren’t going to take Phil off!

I can’t believe they’re going to be only four reds… Amy backs out of her alliance with Lezlye and tells David that if he’s looking for a strong team, then he needs to keep Amy.

Um, wasn’t she the one who backed out of the workout with the team?

HOW ON EARTH IS THAT STRONG TEAMWORK!?!

What a little bitch…

[break]

Pre-Elimination

This is simply amazing. They’re showing both Amy and Lezlye, listening to them talking about their lives and how they need to be there at the camp. They toss Phil in for good measure, but I’m seriously not worried about him. Amy and Lezlye lost the least amount of weight. One of them is gone, I’m sure!

I noticed that Phil and Lezlye both wore matching green shirts… hmmmm… another TBL romance? HA!

Phil votes first - this person was chosen simply because he’s got a target on HIS back, he chose Lezlye. Ops, no romance there! LOL
Lezlye - decision based on long term strategy - least amount of body fat - Phil.
Amy - at home, this person will be extremely successful - [break] - Phil.
David - stressful to have to be in this position again, so soon - Lezlye.
Bryan - tough decision, it’s hard to say that you love somebody and then turn them away - Lezlye.

You know, this kind of sucks. She’s the one who lost everything in Katrina. Amy’s a two-faced bitch, and a whiner. And she’s still there… :(

Lezlye Donahue went home and lost a total of 55 pounds and is at 200!

She’s looking great, and they’re ready to put Katrina behind them. She might come back to the finals and blow everyone away, y’all! ;)

Next week - TEMPTATION WEEK! They’re faced with 400,000 calories and someone gives in! EEK!

Well, that’s it… not sure I’m up for liveblogging like this if no one’s going to participate in the discussion in the comments… I really had thought you guys liked the idea enough, so that’s why I did it again this week. No hard feelings or anything - It’s just that this takes a lot out of me - two solid hours of focus, you know?

Anywho… it was a great show tonight - one of the best in the history of the show I think, and I’m looking forward to next week!

  1. Hey… where is everyone?? :(
Are you guys not interested in the liveblogging anymore? :(

  2. well, I guess I really can’t. I watched it via Tivo delayed by 30 minutes to an hour due to dinner, getting the kids in bed etc.

I also can’t stand watching some of the whining and crap. Although I got tickled at Lezlye mimicking Kim about swinging your arms. Those girls just didn’t GET it in the working out zone.

But then Lezlye (I just can’t type that name correctly!) really took the lesson home. How she couldn’t do that on the show I don’t know.

Amy is gone next week for sure.

  3. Sorry Lara, I’m on the west coast so if I read your live blog it’d ruin the show for me with the time difference and all. I look forward to reading it the next morning though, your comments crack me up :-)

The weigh in was a real nail biter, dontcha think? Jillian’s confidence kinda wavered after the 3 girls only dropped a collective 10 pounds. But I’m glad the guys pulled out a win for the black team. Amy is a total backstabbing whiny bitch, I don’t like her at all. Can’t wait to see what happens next week!

  4. Sorry Lara I started working a second job so I have to watch it on the DVR either late at night (which I did last night - silly me…midnight to 6:30 just isn’t enough sleep anymore!!) or the next day. I really enjoy reading your comments on it though!!

  5. Thanks girls… :) At least I know where y’all are! :) I feel a lot better… thank youuuu! *big hugs*

I like, totally HATE Amy, though. I mean… remember how much I hated Suzy? And then Kai? Yeah… that’s where we’re at with Amy…

    wheee!!

  6. Ick I hate her too! And I hated Suzy and Kai too! LOL. Whiny little baby! Ugh! I kept telling my husband, this idiot BEGGED to be there!! GRRRR!

  7. Hi — I’ve been trying to respond to the email you left through the help desk on blogherads. Sorry to use your comment section to reach you, but all my email is bouncing back with a message saying it’s spam. Will you email me so I can get you all set up?

    Thanks!

  8. Hi again :)
Messages are still not going through. Can you email me from an alternate email? Or we could try and talk on the phone on Monday.

    Thanks!
