The Biggest Loser 3 - Episode 8 Recap
It’s 2 hour episode time!!!
The top 3 men and women from the @ Home group are back -
Matthew - Maine
Jaron - Arkansas
Tim - Delaware
Virginia - Vermont (teehee)
Adrian - North Dakota
Poppi - New Jersey
Ranch - 679 pounds lost combined!
They’re going to weigh the six who came back, and the top two will stay at the ranch to take the place of Pam and Brian who left last week. Already Heather’s being a bitch about it… Yes, none of them want the @ Home players there, but suck it up and deal for Christ’s sake. It’s a game, and there are rules, and YOU don’t make them, Heather.
We start with seeing a replay of when Caroline told those who were going home about what was going to happen… too cool!
Erik thinks it’s unfair. HOW? YOU had personal trainers and chefs. If anything’s unfair it’s that they’ve been out in the real world struggling on their own and you’ve been there slacking off while you had someone else cooking almost all your meals and telling you what to do.
Then Kai walks in and starts hugging people. Fake bitch. She even made sarcastic comments about how “we’re going to braid each other’s haaaair, paint each other’s naaaaails” right before she said that they’d better keep her away from her if she makes it into the house. UGH.
Bobby’s talking about “invaders” and saying that they’re cocky. They want them out, they’re going to send them home the first week. Ummm… then they’ll get MORE. DUH.
Heather and Kai moved a bed into Pam’s old room so that they didn’t have to room with the new girl. This is nuts! Then they said that they were going to be nice and go sleep in Pam’s room and give the new people THEIR room. Awhh how totally insincerely kind of them. *puke*
Damn - the North Dakota girl looks fantastic!
Poppi (NJ) - 232 to 189 (43lbs - 18.53%)
Virginia (VT) - 277 to 230 (47lbs - Did not move Poppi)
Adrian (ND) - 227 to 174 (53lbs - 23.35% She moved Poppi and will stay at the ranch)
Matthew (ME) - 366 to 285 (81lbs - 22.13%)
Jaron (AR) - 323 to 248 (75lbs - 23.22%)
Tim (DE) - 268 to 216 (52lbs - Jaron stays at the ranch)
Jaron and Adrian are the new duo.
Marty’s questioning things… these people lost WAY more as individuals than any other individuals at the ranch… it’s weird!!
The top two people from home have better percentages than anyone there. Kai’s bitter because she says she obviously could’ve done better at home with her bed and her stuff and everything. (Um, obviously not, that’s why you went there in the first place, dummy!)
Jaron’s excited to have the opportunity to work with a trainer, and Adrian wants to work out with Bob really badly.
Bob want’s to know if they’re red or blue… they talk to them about the percentages, and Bob decides he wants Jaron, so Adrian gets Kim. Ha!
Bob grabs the blue team, and Kim sits down with the red team and Adrian and talks about her history, what got her to where she was, and how she did so well at home. Kai and Heather are NOT impressed.
Commercial Break: This is crazy!!! We’re only half an hour into this episode, and have another hour and a half to watch these people go nuts against each other… LOL
They’re working out together, and Adrian is saying that the squats aren’t doing anything for her, and claims that there were times that she “let them ahead” - This girl’s not stupid… but “she needs to be a little more sensitive to the fact that these people on the ranch miss their families and everything,” says Kim.
Jaron’s convinced that the guys are in better shape than he is… even though he’s lost more than them. But the guys are so much more supportive… telling him to hold his positions and everything… He was sweating like a pig! Couldn’t do the pushups or use the stability thingy at all.
Erik says that Jaron’s strong on the treadmill, but really had no strength training at all.
Then we get a Jell-O endorsement. 11 sugar free Jell-O cups to 1 scoop of frozen yogurt. The guys make a Jell-O whip. Strawberries and cool whip and Jell-O… all mixed up. :)
Challenge
Caroline’s corny. “We’re going to have a TON of FUN!”
They have to move a ton of something from one end of the warehouse to the other. Tires, water, bricks, weights.
Whichever duo comes closest to counting the calories in a steak, loaded potato, and hot fudge sundae, gets their pick.
Marty and Wylie get the choice. Nice goin’ guys… They were only 19 calories off.
Marty and Wylie get water
Erik and Kai get tires
Jaron and Adrian get bricks
Bobby and Heather get the weights
42″ Plasma TV and DVD player is at stake. Whoohoo.
Marty and Wylie are in the lead with Heather and Bobby right behind them… Erik’s carrying 3 tires per arm! Bobby’s got 2 weights per arm. Wylie’s got a water cooler water jug in each hand, Jaron and Adrian are WAYYYYYY behind.
Heather and Bobby are looking like they’re winning.
Wylie and Marty won it. So much more sense with the water bottles. Bobby and Heather and Kai and Erik decided to finish. “The Grey Team”, Adrian and Jaron didn’t finish. Adrian thinks they did it to make them look stupid, and that they’d be there forever trying to move all those bricks. Wahhhh… LOL
Bob and Kim gave them dirty looks for not finishing. Damn I love Bob.
First hour’s up - Next we’ll spend an hour on the weigh in, and we see a preview at the elimination table, where Caroline says, “The game is shifting… one more time.”
Adrian’s decided she’s going to do what she wants… she doesn’t need Kim’s advice, none of that. Kim told her that she needed to work out like everyone else. She can’t flip-flop, and now Adrian’s all crying. She says she feels like she’s being hated for her accomplishments, Kim says that she’s acting like she knows it all, and it’s crazy, because she’s in a place where she can learn SO much, and she just isn’t. Adrian went to bed while Jaron went on a run with everyone else. Wow… she got not only a first chance, but a second one, and is blowing it!!
Last chance workout was brutal. Adrian went for a walk. We see her sitting on a cliff. And she’s crying to Kai, said that not training with Kim was the hardest two hours of her life, because she had a support system. Kai hugged her and told her not to give up. What a turnaround! Is she being fake again? Hmm…
Adrian’s talking to Kim, told her that she feels like she lost perspective today and feels bad about it. She just wanted to do what it was she did at home, because it was working for her.
Kim offers her a personal, last chance workout. One on one. As long as she does what she tells her to do. They run to the gym, and the red team’s in there. Kim took her on a nighttime triathalon. Fully clothed, she made her jump into the pool and everything!
Weigh In
The grey team isn’t sure they even like being there. I hate these people. Not like the ranchers do, and not for the same reasons, but how freaking stupid they are!
Wylie - 6lbs / Marty - 4lbs (10 - 1.89%)
Adrian - 4lbs / Jaron - 10lbs (14 - 3.32%)
Kai - 7lbs / Erik - 20lbs!!! Yes, he gained 3 last week, but this is so damn cool! (27 - 4.95%)
Bobby - 3lbs / Heather - GAINED 4! I feel so bad for Bobby… :( I love him.
As duos, they get one vote, and they must vote for either Bobby or Heather. I want Heather GONE. I can’t stand her, and couldn’t stand her since the beginning when she was screaming at Jenn like she was a puppy who peed on the rug.
She’s playing the game… And Bob thinks that Bobby is playing the game too. He told him that he wanted to go home, because he missed his family, all that. He told Bob he’s not going to play the game to try to stay in. :( Bob’s trying to explain to him that he’s quitting. And he needs to show his kids that he’s doing this for them, and to send Heather home with her drama. Bobby’s crying… and says that for something that was so set in stone for him this morning, it couldn’t be more up in the air.
As we go to commercial, we see Kai, with her crocodile tears streaming down her face, in the elimination room. As IF she’d vote for Heather. No freakin’ way. C’mon TBL - do you think we’re THAT stupid?
Heather’s claiming that she wants to win this “for Utah”. Mmhmm.
Jaron and Adrian voted for Bobby :(
Erik and Kai voted for Bobby too.
Damn! Damn! Damn!!!!
Bobby says that his heart’s not there anymore, he’s struggled with it the whole time. He says that he feels bad because people who wanted to be there have gone home. He says he really doesn’t feel like he’s quitting, he feels like he’s “got it” and can do this and go home. Erik’s bawling, Kai’s bawling. Bobby’s worried that his fire department, his family, his kids, will all see him as a quitter.
:(
Things are shifting again. No more duos, everyone’s on their own and will compete as individuals.
Heather says that it’s to her advantage she gained this week, in the aspect of going into singles.
Bobby… He says he’s proud of himself, and that Bob saved his life.
Oh no! We get to see him go home!!
His wife and kids freak out… he looks so different. He shaved off his face, she says that she hardly recognized him. She’s so giddy over him getting his dimples back. Too cute!
He goes back to the fire department, and they were so supportive! He put his old gear on (this one’s a little close to home) and he could’ve fit his daughter in there with him!
OMG He’s down to 227 and looks SOOO GOOD! A grand total of 94 lbs. gone! Way to go, Bobby The Fireman!! :)
Next week, again at 8, everyone gets makeovers. Adrian apparently has a meltdown, and we here her saying, “It’s STOOPID! I HATE this! I just wanna go HOME!”
Wahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I’m just so tired of listening to the whiny girls. I miss the strong women who were already voted off. I couldn’t stand Heather’s little “I want to do this for Utah, I want to make Utah proud” speech. No one from Utah in their right mind (other than family maybe) wants her representing them. She’s been a whiny, fake, manipulative brat from the beginning. I’m very disappointed that she’s still there.
Great recap! :) I’m really glad that Bobby has kept up the great work…he looks AMAZING! I guess we’ll see how next week goes…I don’t know how much more Adrain, Kai, and Heather I can take…
