The Biggest Loser 3 - Episode 6 Recap
Okay, so I’m just absolutely flabbergasted! Remember back on my recap of The Biggest Loser 3 Premiere, I talked about how the plus size model Jennifer and I looked so much alike, and that I was pulling for her? Remember how pissed off I was when she was eliminated that first show? Remember how I told her that she’d better come back and kick butt?
Chica, I’m honored, and flattered that you’ve taken the time to find my site and make your mark. That’s not even close to summing up how I felt when I saw that this morning, but seriously, girl… I’m so counting on you! (Don’t we really look a lot alike??) ;)
—– On to the show… —–
I’ve already said my prayer for the week… let’s see how things go!
Mini-Challenge: Calorie quiz - Teams reveal a meal and count estimate the calories. Winning team gets to choose two each of the other team who go without a trainer, or eat out for 72 hours.
First up, hamburger and fries.
Red - 1300
Blue - 780
Actual - 1421
Red wins.
Fried chicken, biscuit, and cole slaw.
Red - 1220
Blue - 1751
Actual - 1000
Red wins.
Pancakes, bacon, hash browns, sausage links, and eggs.
Red - 1350
Blue - 920
Actual - 1190
Red wins.
SONOFABITCH!
Red team won - they to take Bob away from two of the blue team members, and make two of them eat out.
No trainer - Bobby and Erik
Eat out - Brian and Marty
72 hours. Yeesh.
Everyone’s working out when Bob shows up and is clearly ticked they didn’t know their calories. They just came from the elimination, and now they’re screwed with this. He’s not sounding very confident.
Bobby feels like this is the ultimate in motivation.
TBL @ HOME - Nebraska, Evelyn 270 to 250
She says this is the hardest thing she’s ever had to do, including losing her really large rear end. They show her working out, but with only 20 lbs. gone, it’s something sad and close to my heart. I feel that pain, I really do.
Red team’s discussing what’s changed in them. Kai said that it’s easier to be pissed off… Gee, that’s not an obvious emotion from your end is it, Kai? Pam says she used to be fake happy. Kim says that it’s normal to be changing emotionally.
Bob trained the HELL out of Brian and Marty - he wanted to set an example. Bobby and Erik were there in the gym, but were being ignored.
Brian and Marty ordered salads with chicken, but were concerned that the food won’t be prepared the way they request. They put the corn in the salad even though Marty said he wanted it on the side. Bob told him he should’ve sent it back.
Challenge
Flags with their name and a number (their total loss) are velcroed to a stand in front of them. They have to choose someone to raise all the teams’ flags in a harness that’s pulled up by straps around the remaining team members’ waists. As they run to get a flag, the harnessed person goes up, as they go to bring the flag to them, they come down. Kind of odd, but okay. The team that wins gets to choose between a healthy meal at the Bel Age Hotel or get an intense workout in the pool there.
Wylie sits out because he’s got an injury from the night before.
Heather’s throwing out this girls vs. guys crap again.
The first team member to hit the ground after the last flag is hung wins it for the team. As we go to break, Heather’s coming down before actually getting the flag attached. *wicked cackle*
We come back, and see that they dropped the next flag! Blue team SMOKED them! WAHOOOOEY!!!
They chose the meal at the Bel Age, and the red team gets the workout. The blue team gets to choose who sits out the weigh in from the red team.
The blue team gets to sit and eat while the red team works out. Too damn cool! They ate very well, fruit for dessert and everything. The red team was DROOLING. Ha. ha. ha!!!!
Back at the ranch…
Eat out only and no trainer is over. Yayness!
Dr. Huizhenga - monitors their progress, runs tests and screenings, and now they’re going to get an update on their health status.
Kai - cholesterol dropped 113 BP is 112/64
Pam - cholesterol dropped 60
Bobby - insulin is down to 1.8 from 30!!! He’s off all his meds and isn’t pre-diabetic anymore.
No one has high BP anymore, but some still have risks for heart disease… family, age, etc. Treatments would be to continue losing weight, taking baby aspirin or Bayer Low-Dose.
Doc’s impressed, but he wants to talk to Erik about his smoking. He hasn’t had any since he came to the ranch. He wants to get his wife to quit, and is going to cut out alcohol too. Doc says he was the one person with the highest risk, and has gone to someone with much less. He was the one person with diabetes, and his sugar has gone down tremendously. GO NEW YORK!!!
Last chance workout…
Wylie’s in the pool, red team’s pushing hard. Bob was concerned about Erik’s working out without him in the beginning of the week. Marty’s worried that if he’s not the biggest loser on his team, he won’t get immunity and will be eliminated if they lose the weigh in.
Weigh In Time…
Blue team picks Ken to sit out the weigh in because of his track record with losing.
Red
Ken - down 11!! (68 total)
Pam - down 7
Kai - down 9 (48 total)
Wylie - down 7 (with a sprained ankle!)
Heather - down 6
Total - 29 lbs/3.26%
Blue (needs to lose more than 38 lbs)
Brian - down 9
Bobby - down 13!!! (he’s so damn adorable)
Marty - down 15!!! (ho.ly.shit! 72 down total! and Erik only needs to lose 2… lol)
Erik - down 16!!! (GO NEW YORRRRRK!!!!! He says, “Take that, Bob!”)
Total - 53 lbs/4.47%
YAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! I’m so proud of them!!
Kai’s safe - she’s the red team’s biggest loser. Damn. I so wish they’d drop Heather, but it’s more than likely going to be Wylie or Ken. :(
—–
Bob freaks out over Erik’s loss, calls him “Skinny” and everything… too cute!
Kim tells the red team to think wisely, and Heahter’s talking about the girls vs. guys thing AGAIN. I wanna punch that bitch in the face, I’m serious. She swears that none of the girls are gonna vote for another girl.
Elimination…
Kai chooses not to use the free pass this round to save someone, and votes for Ken.
Ken voted for the person with the lowest number, Heather.
Heather voted for someone who’s a threat, Ken. :(
Wylie voted for Ken. Biggest threat story again.
:( I love him. He says, “It’s all good. I’m going home and am going to continue. I will miss every single one of you. You guys have my prayers and my thoughts, and I want you to kick ass. I’m still a red team member whether I’m here or not.” I love him. He’s sitting there hugging the girls who bound up against him. Whatever.
He’d lost 68 pounds on the ranch, and he says he feels alive, young again. As of now, he’s lost an ADDITIONAL total of 70 lbs. His wife’s lost over 50 lbs since he’s been home. Total of 138 pounds! Way to go, baby!
Next week…
It’s not about weigh ins or challenges. Two people will be sent home, and will be replaced with contestants from the @ HOME - and amazingly enough, THEY have lost MORE than those at the ranch!

That’s really cool that Jen commented. I’d be doing the cabbage patch too…LOL…
