Whitney is America’s Next Top (Full Figured) Model!
Oh I am so happy!
I’m not a huge follower of ANTM but occasionally I catch it, and I’ve been watching Whitney all along and pulling for her SO HARD. She’s a full-figured (plus size, ha) model. Only named as such because she’s larger than a size 10, and she’s NOT FAT, but rather thick. She’s simply gorgeous, worked it all the way, and I’m just so happy for her!

And I know that there are a lot of Tyra haters out there - but I’m sorry, I love that woman. Like, I want to be her best friend. :)

I totally agree with you! I was hoping so badly that she would win- I follow this show religiously!! It is due time a full figured model won!
My daughter and I do watch ANTM a little too much. I do appreciate that Tyra has always been willing to put a plus sized model in with the other girls. But she was always eliminated pretty early in the competition. So kudos to the judges for picking Whitney and getting over their “have to be a size 0″ mentality. Next, I’d like to see Tyra and ANTM do a show with just plus sized models so we can realize how gorgeous these women really are.
Anne-Marie, I’d heard rumors of it before, but I think what happened is that Tyra tied in with Monique to create Monique’s FAT Chance, which hasn’t been on in a season or two now… it’s really pretty sad.
Personally, everything I’ve been “thiiiiiis close” to being in that would highlight me as a PSM always kind of “fell apart”.
Wow, I used to watch that show but cut way back on TV a few months ago - I’m happy to hear that a plus size model won! And actually, isn’t “plus size” a size 12? So really, they’re “normal” sized! :)
We wanted Whitney to win so badly because she represents alot of us who are real.My daughter is only 9 (doubt she will ever have to worry about weight,she is tiny) and she so wanted her to win and thaought she was the most awesomist person in the bunch..way to go..real woman come come over and above the top..sorry size 2’s are not appeaing.
Well yeah, JoLynn - anything over a 10 is considered plus-sized or “full figured” so to speak. So that means Whitney is a 12.
I will be VERY sad if I see her losing weight to try to conform… VERY sad.
i just have to say…congrats to Whitney on the weight loss…, but i must also follow up with “i hope she did it for herself and not to please the “mold” that is expected of models….
I watch the show when ever i can catch it…and i made sure to catch every show that Whitney was on….she took my breath away with not only her beauty…but her positive attitude during the show…..
i have seen some photos of Whitney since the weight loss..and i have to say…i rather her to have more weight on her…some of the photos almost look “odd”….as if it isn’t the same person…..
