Snuggie Sightings – Are You Scared Yet?

Not for nothing but I was sick of the Snuggie commercial way back in October when they started the holiday push. For those of you who are uninitiated… take a peek:

I’m sorry, but watch it again, and check out the image. Don’t these people look like they belong in a cult or something? For crying out loud it’s a bathrobe you put on backwards! It’s nothing special. It’s not some wonderful new fashion trend, it’s a backwards bathrobe!

Thinking of it this way, what’s the big difference (or benefit) of the Snuggie over say, a long bathrobe (worn properly), a regular blanket, and slippers? I mean really!

I’ve also heard that it’s ridiculous when it comes to static. Clings to you, itself, a passing child’s hair… It’s just ugly and again – how is a backwards bathrobe MORE comfortable than a properly worn one?

Have you had any Snuggie sightings yourself? Did someone get you one for Christmas? What do you think of them? Let’s talk it up in the comments… :)

Ha ha – a cult. Good one. I’m with you on this, although my husband and this guy at work (who knows I am frequently cold) suggested it for me. My husband asked if it would be a good gift for me. Nope; I don’t get it. I’ll just stick with a bathrobe or sweater and a blanket.

Hehe Miss Rachel… you can’t tell me that all those people in that red robe thing don’t look like they’re a part of some crazed pomegranate colored cult! LOLOLOL

I’m with you on being cold a lot too… but yeah, I’ll do just fine with some spa socks, my sweats, and a blanket, too! LOL

the two best infomercial products ever have to the Snuggie and the Shamwow… i wonder if it’s possible to combine the two, and make a single, super-absorbent robe?
