Around The House
Here are all the goals I’ve set for 2009 “Around The House”. Remodeling projects, planning projects, changes, updates, new stuff, old stuff… whatever. Whenever I think of something new that I want to do around here, it will go in this list (along with a preferred deadline if applicable, and an estimated cost), and get crossed off when it’s completed (along with the date it was completed, and actual cost).
Stay tuned, this list is bound to get pretty long!
Bathroom Remodeling Project
- Rip up old towels for cleaning rags and buy new ones.
- Paint inside of closet.
- Re-cover closet shelves with new contact paper.
- Finish painting window trim (we had new windows installed last summer).
- Replace the wall next to the shower that needs it (water damage).
- Finish taking off the wallpaper and do skim coats of wall compound to even out the walls.
- Replace all floor molding (if not #8), trim around the closet, and either paint or replace the closet door.
- Paint the walls, install PVC beadboard wainscoting and trim around the bottom half of the walls (~$800) and crown moulding.
- Replace the sink/counter/cabinet.
- Tile the floor and possibly the shower stall.
- Replace faucets in sink and tub, replace shower head.
- Replace the lighting – two lights on the wall over the sink, ceiling light.
- Replace the mirror over the sink.
- New window treatments.
